Ghana Beat Gambia U-13 Cricketers

Host Ghana yesterday squeezed victory out of the Gambia U-13 Cricket team in the ICC North West Cricket Championship.

The future of Gambian cricket under the guidance of Coach Wilfred Riley went all out for 24 runs. Ghana won the game by 5 wickets.

The ICC North/West championship contested by Ghana, the Gambia, Sierra Leone, Cameroon and Nigeria   is expected to wrap up today and will also   determine the winner of the one week tournament.

Being their first appearance at this level the team is expected in Banjul on Saturday.  Despite losing in the championship on two occasions, the young cricketers put up a very promising performance for the country, having won two other matches.
