and second Vice President of The Gambia Football Federation -GFF- said the
proposed friendly match requested by Kenya Football federation against the
Scorpions would not go ahead.
Kenya’s football governing body was reported to have written to GFF requesting for a friendly game with the Scorpions and Comoros in Morocco later this month but GFF spokesperson Ebou Faye said that was only a proposal and there was nothing concrete about it.
Harambee Stars of Kenya wanted to begin life without Paul Put with two international friendly matches against Gambia’s Scorpions and Comoros on March 24th and 26th away in Morocco.
Kenya and Gambia were initially lined up to play Ghana and Algeria in the 2019 African Cup of Nations preliminary match this month but the matches were shelved following request by the African teams featuring in the World Cup to have the Fifa breaks.
