boys, Samger FC and PSV Wellingara relegations from the Gambia Football
federation (GFF) First Division league have been confirmed following their poor
and disappointing campaign in the league season.
Samger FC won Hawks FC 1-0 in their final league game on Saturday but it wasn’t enough to make them stay in the first division league for next season, while PSV Wellingara, who were earlier confirmed relegated well before playing their final game of the season drew 1-1 with Wallidan in their final game.
The Wellingara-based team PSV has collected 18 points after playing twenty-six games. They lost twelve games, drew twelve and won only two matches in the entire league season, while Samger FC collected 22 points after twenty-six matches and lost ten games, drew thirteen and won three games in the entire league season.
Both teams will now be returning to the Second Division after winning and qualifying from the Second Division last season.
