GFF fumes at fake attestations, recommendations

Monday, December 11, 2017

The Gambia Football Federation has expressed shock and dismay that “some unscrupulous people” are issuing what it described as “scandalous attestations and fake recommendation letters” to some foreign based Gambian players.

The GFF said it is unaware of the act which is purported to have emanated from the Federation.

The GFF clarified that the said letters did not officially emanate from the Football House and that the facts are not authentic because the affected players have never even been invited to the Senior National Team of The Gambia.

The GFF said it is not taking the matter lightly and an investigative panel will soon be set up to probe into the issue to get to the root of the matter.

It assured members and the public that no stone will be left upturned to ensure that the culprits face the consequences of their actions so as to deter any future occurrence.
