Football Federation (GFF) has filed an appealed against the $10, 000 fine
levied on the Federation by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after
the Desert Foxes of Algeria protested regarding the violation of the rules and
regulation of CAF.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) imposed a fine on the GFF after The Gambia violated certain rules and regulations of CAF in the areas of security and safety of players and match officials during the Scorpions AFCON Qualifiers encounter against Algeria played at the stadium on 8th September 2018.
The game was delayed for about 90 minutes after Algeria protested about the stadium overcrowding possible threats to their security. Meanwhile after the overcrowding issue at the stadium, the GFF setup a panel of investigation which was headed by Omar Mbai.
Meanwhile our reporter contacted the GFF for their comment about the case at hands but proven to be very difficult.
