GFF apologies to Gambia

The Gambia Football Federation GFF yesterday held a media briefing at the Football House in Kanifing East Layout after the country’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Algeria on Saturday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Speaking at the briefing, the president of The Gambia Football Federation, Lamin Kabba Bajo said the press briefing was organised to discuss the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers between The Gambia and Algeria played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Saturday.

Bajo apologised to The Gambian public for the unfortunate scenario at the Independence Stadium on Saturday, revealing that the twenty-four thousand five hundred were printed for the match. He added that the tickets were reprinted.

He further revealed that The Gambia against Algeria was a lesson for them, saying they are putting proper measures in place for the match against Togo on 16 October in Banjul.
