GCCI CEO appointed new Indonesian Honorary Consular in The Gambia

Chief Executive Officer of The Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry ((GCCI) has been appointed as Indonesian Honorary Consular in The Gambia by the country’s president.

Alieu Secka confirmed this development in an interview with this reporter, saying the appointment took effect in May.

According to Mr. Secka, the appointment came though the Indonesian Embassy in Dakar, Senegal. He thanked the Indonesian President for the trust and confidence bestowed in him to represent his country’s people in The Gambia.

He said the relationship between Indonesia and The Gambia has existed for many years, where they have supported The Gambia in the area of agriculture, saying as Indonesia’s Honorary Consular, agriculture will be one of the areas he would need to re-activate.

He assured that he represents Indonesia and to promote culture and business between the two countries to a higher height.
