Gamtel/Gamcel Fund Raising Gala Successful, As Secretary General thanks the Public

The secretary general of Gamtel/ Gamcel Staff Association, Mr. Mustapha Conteh, has described their recent fund raising gala night and dance as a big success.

He thanked the general public for their support in the fund raising thus making it a success.

Secretary Conteh was speaking recently to these reporters at his office in Banjul.

"The fundraising was very successful," said Conteh.

He said the turnout to the event was more than expected despite the cold weather conditions and the Magal of Touba, which also coincided with the event. "But on the whole the overall result was excellent and very successful," he said.

Mr. Conteh explained that, the finance department of the association is working on the profit gained to enable them go about their plans to support development programmes in the country.

"We at Gamtel/ Gamcel are ready to take up our social corporate responsibilities to support the development process of The Gambia in many areas including farming," he said.

He called on other associations in the country to emulate Gamtel/Gamcel in supporting the public and the government to meet vision 2020 goals.
