Telecommunications giant Gamtel on Sunday defeated the ferry boys, Gambia Ports Authority, 1-0 in the week ten fixtures played at the Brikama Box Bar mini stadium to regain top spot in the 2014-2015 Gambia Football Federation division one league.

Former Young Africans’ winger wizard Salifu Ceesay aka Messi’s 65th minutes’ excellent strike was enough for the telecommunications giant to regain top spot in the top flight, despite the ferry boys dominating the first period, but squandering all their limited goal-scoring opportunities.

Armed Forces came from behind to share the spoils with Brikama United at the Serrekunda East mini stadium on the same day.

Gamtel are now leading the race with 21 points in eleven games; Brikama United are in third place with 18 points in ten games; Armed Forces are mid-table with 17 points in eleven games, while Gambia Ports Authority are also mid-table with 16 points in ten games.
