Gambia’s representatives for the 2018 CAF top and second tier football club competitions Gambia Armed Forces and Hawks are both currently struggling in the country’s domestic league.

Gambia Armed Forces, the defending league champions will represent the Gambia in the CAF champions league after lifting the league title last season for the first time since the 2008-2009 season under coach Alagie Sey.

The soldiers are not currently in their best form in the league and will prepare well before for their first leg clash with Zambia’s champions Zanaco FC next month in Lusaka.

The FF champions Hawks will represent the Gambia in the CAF confederations cup after grasping the country’s league cup title last season but they are not doing well in the domestic league.

The Red Devils will prepare to be fit enough for the continent’s second tier football club competition first leg tie with Nigerian side Akwa United next month.
