Iranian Persian Gulf Pro League side Sanat Naft Abadan FC have sealed a short term deal for the Gambian hopeful Maccoumba Kandji.

Born to a Gambian parent, Kanji signed for Sanat on a free transfer after leaving Finnish side Honka FC after scoring 16 goals last season.

The 33-year-old deal with the Finnish club elapsed in December, after single-handedly guiding FC Honka to joint-third place in the Veikkausliiga last season.

Kanji, who is looking forward to help his new team to finish into the Iranian top four, is looking forward to make his debut game. Sanat Naft are currently 12th on the 16-team Iranian Premier League table with 20 points after 21 outings.
