As part of taking Gambian artistic works to the rest of the world, Lamin Secka, a Gambian designing artist on Wednesday returned from China after attending a three month working visit.
Speaking in an interview with Point Entertainment and Lifestyle, Lamin Secka said his mission to China was to represent The Gambia in an exchange visit program of art and culture between China and Africa.
He told Entertainment and Lifestyle that the program was sponsored by the China government and his visit was very vital because he has learned new things in painting, adding that the visit was a good move, especially presenting The Gambia to China.
“I want to thank the government of The Gambia and the government of China for the support and in the future there will be an exchange visit between The Gambia and China to share the knowledge between the two countries.”
“I have learned a lot there because China is very developed,” he said, adding that art is really important in China and they need to create the platform to unite Gambian artists and he would like the exhibition to be taking place in The Gambia to promote culture and history through art.
