of The Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) has called on President Barrow and his team
to step down if they cannot lead the country.
Speaking at a press conference in Bijilo on Tuesday, Mamma Kandeh said the Faraba incident was too much that led to the killings of people by personnel of the Police Intervention Unit (PIU).
He tasked the government to explain to The Gambian people who ordered the police to use life bullets against the citizens of Faraba, saying The Gambia is known for its peace and stability and that the era of dictatorship has ended.
“I am calling on the government to do what is expected from them because the killings are becoming too much. So many things have happened in this country within this short period of time. This is not what we expect from the government.”
He said if President Barrow thinks that the team around him cannot help him, he should remove them and bring another team that can help him.
