The Gambia will unveil senior national team new coach Mr.Tom Saintfiet today, according to the news emanating from Football House in Kanifing East Layout.

The Belgium tactician signed a nine-month contract with the country’s football authorities recently to coach the gallant Scorpions.

The Gambia senior national team has been without a coach since Sang Ndong’s appointment as the technical director of the Gambia Football Federation after his contract with the federation expired in February this year.

New coach Saintfiet will guide the Scorpions to their crunch 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at home to Algeria in September this year in Banjul.

The Gambia is currently occupying bottom-place in group D of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with zero point after losing away to Benin 1-0 in the opening match of the qualifiers last year.

The Scorpions need to beat Algeria in September this year in Banjul to increase their hopes of making their debut in the continent’s biggest football showpiece.
