Gambia U17 Players Optimistic

The players of The Gambia National U-17 team, have expressed their readiness to bring glory to The Gambia, as they prepare for the 2009 CAFU-17youth championship to be hosted in Algeria from March 19th to 3rd April, 2009.

Speaking to Pointsports on Wednesday evening at Brikama Mini Stadium shortly after their training session, the captain of The Gambia National U-17 team, Matarr Jobe, said that they are ready to fight for glory in Algeria come March and he assured Gambians that they will do all in their means to make sure that they bring the trophy home by the blessing of the mighty Allah.

He revealed that his team are well prepared for tournament and he called on the general pubic and private sector to come forward and give help to the team so that they can bring the trophy home.

He commended the GFA and all those who contributed to the success of the team during the qualifiers and he urged them to keep up the momentum.
