Gambia U-20 resumes training

The Gambia National U-20 team has resumed training for their crucial 2019 Africa U-20 Youth Championship qualifiers against Benin after the end of the Sub-regional football tournament hosted in Liberia.

The Young Scorpions, who are currently camped at the FIFA Goal Project Hotel in Old Yundum resumed training after two days rest following their WAFU success over Liberia over the weekend.

Coach Matarr Mboge and his charges will use the next few days to prepare themselves fit and ready for their first leg clash with Benin in Banjul this weekend.

Benin senior Squirrels team beat The Gambia national team the senior Scorpions 1-0 in the opening match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers last June.
