The Gambia U-20 national team has intensified preparations ahead of the 2019 Africa U-20 Youth Championship qualifiers at the FIFA Goal Project in Yundum.

The Young Scorpions are currently embarking on massive preparations for the continent’s junior biggest football fray, after failing to qualify for the 2017 edition hosted in Zambia, following their 2-1 aggregate defeat to Guinea Conakry in the qualifiers.

Coach Matarr Mboge is currently training with twenty-five players scouted from the Gambia Football Federation first and second division league clubs before the qualifiers.

Coach Mboge will try all efforts to qualify The Gambia to the 2019 Africa U-20 Youth Championship, after their failure to qualify for the 2017 edition in Zambia last year.
