Cup of Nations qualifiers next month following their 1-1 stalemate with Algeria
over the weekend.
General Secretary of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Lamin Jassey confirmed the news to this paper.
According to Mr. Jassey, Togo will host The Gambia in the first leg on 12 October in Lome and return leg is set for 16 October in Banjul.
Twenty-four teams are set to compete in the contentment’s biggest fiesta in Cameroon next year for the first time. Sixteen countries competed in the previous tournaments.
Benin and Togo drew goalless in the other group match played on Sunday. Algeria will play against Benin in the other group encounter next month.
Already Algeria defeated Togo 1-0 while Benin beat The Gambia on the same score line in Group D qualifiers last year.
