Gambia Taekwondo to hold first national referee training

Friday, March 16, 2018

The Gambia Taekwondo Association under the auspices of its new Executive Board will hold their first phase of national referee training for all its practitioners tomorrow Saturday.

The aim of the training, according to the new Secretary General Bubacarr Zaidi Jallow, is geared towards updating athletes and masters on the latest changes in World Taekwondo (WT) sparring. He echoed that the new executive is doing its best to fill in the ages of the technical lacunae in the association.

The GTA has been very busy reforming the structures of the association with club visits and the constitution of a technical committee for all related technical matters.

As the new executive was ushered in to office on 12th August, 2017 under the leadership of Adama T. Samba, it is taking a steady pace to put the association on its right footing in accordance with the good practice of World Taekwondo.

The referee training will be held on Saturday 17th March 2018, at 9am at the Gambia Taekwondo training center at Abuko.
