Gambia Rotarians host visiting District Governor

Various Rotary Clubs in The Gambia, spearheaded by their 2018-2019 District elect Governor Akki Allen; last weekend hosted a reception for their rotary international district Governor’s delegation at Swiss Stervan restaurant at Kololi.

The delegation, comprising Martin Ouedrago, the immediate former district Governor and Aristide Tino Adediran; a board member of the district Governors were in The Gambia on a visit to various rotary clubs. 

Assistant District Governor Minyang Jobe said the delegates coming to the country was part of their role and responsibility to visit all countries under their purview and to share ideas and hold discussions with them on possibilities of increasing their membership.

Mr. Jobe also cited that in this district conference , Gambian should show fully commitment to go and support our first Gambian elect district governor Akki Allen as his appointment is a plus for the people of the Gambia.  Mr. Jobe also used the opportunity to welcome the rotary club of Bijilo to the fraternity of rotary in the Gambia.

The chartered president of Rotary club of Bijilo Banky Njie said it is not easy but they will ensure to live up to expectation. “We will do our best to make a difference.
