Gambia prepares for Senegalo-Gambia Wrestling contest

The Gambia national wrestling team is preparing for the Senegalo- Gambia Secretariat wrestling contest set for Saturday at the Stade Caroline Faye in Mbour, Senegal.

Coach Sulayman Bah said he is training with ten wrestlers for two weeks now, saying the wrestlers are committed to the training sessions.

President of The Gambia Wrestling Association (GWA) Modou Faye said his executive is doing everything possible to make sure the team is well prepared for the contest.

Team captain Soldaru Bai said they are ready for the contest, saying that they are keen to raise Gambia’s flag at the end of the competition. He appealed for support from Gambians for their journey to Senegal.

The Gambian team will leave Banjul on Friday for Mbour, Senegal and return on 14 July.

100kg Arobass and Aboe Sarr

120kg Yaya Jammeh and Undertaker
