Development Institute (MDI) in collaboration with The Gambia Investment and
Exports Promotion Agency (GIEPA), Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(GCCI) and Sahel Investment will be organising the first national Chief
Executive Officers (CEO) conference in the country in July.
Officials say the forum will be a unique gathering of best business minds and leaders in the country. It will be held from 23-25 July, at QCity conference facility in Bijilo, on the theme: connecting and creating for national development.
The three-day business development and capacity enhancement event is geared towards providing a platform for experiential knowledge sharing and networking for business leaders, policy makers, financial institutions and entrepreneurs in The Gambia.
Abubacarr Fatty, Director of research and consultancy at MDI said the event will allow participants to engage in frank, positive and progressive discourses on the challenges facing business development in The Gambia and the way forward.
The conference targets the top executives of businesses in The Gambia, public and private, big, medium or small enterprises, as well as heads of financial institutions, policy makers, investors and advocates of business and entrepreneurship development.
Mr. Fatty said the conference will include different thematic sessions, like challenges and prospect of the travel and tourism industry, media and telecom sector and agribusiness and fisheries sectors.
He said the conference aims to set the stage for businesses to forge lasting partnership, collaboration and networking to generate and critique problem solving ideas for enhanced socio-economic development.
