Gambia plots Burkina Faso revenge today

Tuesday, April 10, 2018

Gambia’s Women national team is ambitious to overturn their 2-1-defeat deficit against Burkina Faso in the 2019 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Queen Scorpions will host their Burkina Faso counterparts in the return leg clash today 10 April at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 4.30pm.

The Gambia will battle to overturn the deficit in their favour against Burkina Faso to advance to the second round of the qualifiers against Nigeria after losing to their fellow west Africans 2-1 in the first leg in Ouagadougou over the weekend.

Burkina Faso need only a draw to sail to the second round against Nigeria after their hard-fought win over the Gambia but a one-nil defeat by the Queen Scorpions will see them out from the second round.

Meanwhile, the game tickets are pegged at D250 for VIP, covered pavilion D25, uncovered D 10 and students free.
