Gambia names squad for AFCON Qualifiers with Benin

Gambia has named its squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at home to Benin on Saturday 17 November at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Coach Tom Saintfiet yesterday assembled a twenty-man squad for the crucial return-leg fixture with the Squirrels after the first leg tie 1-0 in Cotonou last year.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony held at the Football House in Kanifing, coach Saintfiet said the invited foreign based players will arrive on Monday and will begin training on Tuesday.

He said, his team is coming all out to beat Benin come 17 November. After losing to the Squirrels 1-0 in the first leg in Cotonou 1-0 last year.
