Gambia and Morocco national U-23 teams Tuesday fired blanks in their first international friendly match played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau Tuesday night.

The international friendly brought together hundreds of football admirers to the country’s biggest football arena in Bakau to cheer up the Junior Scorpions despite Ramadan. The Young Scorpions and Young Atlas Lions both came into the game with the motive of strengthening their teams for their future international assignments but the game ended in a deadlock.

The Junior Scorpions dominated the proceedings and created numerous goal scoring opportunities but squandered their limited opportunities in the first half.

Upon resumption of the match, both sides mounted pressure on each other and created goal scoring opportunities but again failed to capitalise on their limited opportunities.
