Gambia Kungfu Association Set for International Outing

The Gambia Kung -fu Association has received invitation of the Senegalese Federation of Kung-fu to attend two international Kung -fu programmes billed for this month in Senegal.

The two Kung -fu prgrammes which include an international Kung-fu festival and a Senegalese national Kungfu international Gala have been slated for 9th and 16th May 2009 respectively. Thirty participants including both male and female categories from the Gambia Kung -fu Association will take part in these international demonstrations.

According to the Secretary General and head of Disciplines Ebou Sanyang, alias Jet Li and Shifu Musa Manneh , six countries namely; France, Senegal, China,  Morocco , Gabon and The Gambia,  will participate in the international festival to be held in Ziguinchor on May 16th 2009.

Ahead of the May 9, 2009 Kung -fu event, the Gambia Kung -fu Association will leave Banjul on Friday for Kaolack to participate  in this international outing and the team is expected back home on Sunday.

After coming back from Kaolack,  The Gambia Kung -fu Association will also be  preparing for the 16th May international festival in Ziguinchor.
