The Gambia senior national team will be hoping to end their five years winless run at the Independence Stadium in Bakau this weekend.

The gallant Scorpions will welcome Algeria in their crucial 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers tomorrow and will fight to beat the Desert Foxes to end their five year winless run at the country’s biggest football arena.

The Gambia’s last victory at the Independence Stadium was against Tanzania 2-0 in the qualifiers, courtesy of midfielder Mustapha Toubabo Jarjue’s braced.

The Scorpions made several attempts to end their winless run at the Independence Stadium in previous year but failed in those attempts.
