has dropped two places in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola rankings for October,
Gambia Sports has reported.
The rankings were released on Thursday by world football governing body that saw the Scorpions drop from the previous 171 in September to 173.
According to Gambia Sports, the development can be attributed to the Scorpions 1-0 defeat at home to Togo in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with the two teams sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw earlier in Lomé.
Meanwhile, Tunisia are the best ranked nation on the FIFA rankings as they are Africa’s number one and 22 in the world, while Belgium edged out France to become the sole world one after both nations last month joined as world number one. The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 29 November 2018.
