Thursday, August 09, 2018

The Gambia and Algeria crunch 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier is looming closer as both countries eye for a spot in the continent’s bi-annual football championship.

New head coach Tom Saintfiet’s side will host the Desert Foxes in the continent’s biggest football fiesta qualifiers next month in Banjul.

The Gambia is currently sitting bottom-place in-group D of the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers with zero point after slipping away to Benin 1-0 in the opening match of the qualifiers last year.

The Scorpions must defeat Algeria next month in Banjul to increase their chances of qualifying for their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Cameroon.

The Desert Foxes will tussle for a positive result against The Gambia next month in Banjul to also fancy their hopes of qualifying for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Cameroon.
