Monday, April 08, 2019

FF cup champions Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) Friday defeated Gambia Ports Authority 1-0 in the week-eighteen game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium to revive their lead in the 2018-2019 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) domestic division one league.

The Soldiers were topping the country’s top tier standings with 29 points prior to their crunch encounter with the ferry boys, who are with 23 points.  They clashed to grip the vital three points and managed to clutch maximum points after notching one goal to maintain their lead.

The ferry boys were keen to lift significant three points to bounce back in the league after losing to Wallidan 2-1 in their previous league outing but were beaten by Gambia Armed Forces.

Gambia Ports Authority secured 23 points in eighteen league matches and will fight to win their next league match to bounce back in the league after losing two games in a row.
