GAF spank GPA to top GFF 1st Division league

Gambia Armed Forces on Saturday beat defending league champions Gambia Ports Authority 2-1 in the week-five fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium to top the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league.

Gambia Armed Forces and Gambia Ports Authority are tied on points before their Saturday’s crunch fixtures but the ferry boys were leading on goal difference.

The Soldiers managed to bag the vital three points after netting two goals to top the league with 10 points in four league games.

The ferry boys scored one, which eventually proved to be a consolation goal for the reigning league champions.

Gambia Ports Authority are now three points behind Gambia Armed Forces. They have got 7 points in four league games, while Gambia Armed Forces have bagged 10 points in four league games.
