GAF smash Marimoo, keep title ambitions alive

The current league champions Gambia Armed Forces on Wednesday beat Marimoo 2-0 in the week-four fixture played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau to boost their 2017-2018 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league title aspirations alive.

The Soldiers who won the country’s league title last season for the first time since the 2008-2009 season came into the fixture with 4 points before their mid-week clash with the Manjai-based outfit, who were unbeaten in the first three league matches.

Gambia Armed Forces grasped the maximum three points, after netting two goals with Marimoo not replying to keep their league title ambitions alive.

Gambia Armed Forces are level on points with Banjul United in the league standing with 7 points apiece, after four league matches.

Marimmoo has 5 points in four league matches, after winning one and drawing two before losing to the current league champions Gambia Armed Forces 2-0 in their week-four fixture.
