GAF league title defense stalls

Hopes of the current champions of The Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league to maintain their lead has been backtracked following their goalless draw against Tallinding United in the week-seven fixture that was played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Tuesday.

The Gambia Armed Forces, who clinched the country’s 2016-2017 top flight league title season came into the game to secure the vital three points against Tallinding United to fancy their hopes of defending their league crown but they were held to a goalless draw by the stubborn Tallinding boys.

The Soldiers will now have to endeavor to win their remaining matches in the first round to keep their ambition of retaining their crown and Tallinding United will scuffle to win their remaining matches in the first round to increase their chances of staying in the top flight for yet another season.
