GAF defeats 1st Division leaders Wallidan

FF cup champions Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) have defeated the current Gambia Football Federation (GFF) domestic division one league leaders Wallidan after giving them a 3-1 in the week-six match played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium on Sunday.

Wallidan were unbeaten in their last five league outings with 11 points after winning three matches and drew two before locking horns with soldier boys, who gripped 5 points after drawing their five opening league matches.

Gambia Armed Forces snatched the significant three points after notching three goals in the game to land their first victory in the top flight league while the Blue Boys managed to pull back one goal, which eventually proved to be a consolation for them.

Wallidan are still topping the country’s premier league with 11 points despite losing to Gambia Armed Forces, who bagged 8 points after six league matches.

Gambia Ports Authority thumped Fortune 2-0 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium to level on points with second-spot Brikama United who are with 10 points in six league outings.

Tallinding United drew goalless with newly-promoted side PSV Wellingara at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. Both teams gripped 5 points each after six league matches.
