Angola China Holding (GACH), a private sand mining company has donated 50
cartons of tomato paste and 3 bags of sugar to the Village Development
Committee of Sanyang in Kombo South District.
The donation followed a pledge that the company made to the community through the VDC on areas of partnership, during its mining operations after it was granted license to engage into sand mining by the government.
The VDC chairman Lamin Bojang thanked the Company for the gesture, saying his committee will always ensure that it establishes positive partnerships that will positively contribute to the development of the community. “We are appreciative of the gesture. This is not because you have a mining site in the community that prompted you to do the donation. I believe it is done due to the already cordial relation you have with the village,” he said
Assistant secretary Yusupha Jassey said the humanitarian gesture would go a long way in assisting the needy in terms of financial spending, especially in the month of Ramadan.
Fatoumatta Jawara, GACH company secretary assured the community of their strong cordial relationship with them, saying from now on, the company will consider the development aspirations of the village and contribute to the advancement of young people.
“The company is very much delighted to have a warm relationship with the community of Sanyang. We just wanted to assure you that as a company, we assure you of similar donations in future.”
