Serious
fracas interrupted the 2017 Berewuleng Football Club-sponsored Kombo South
district football tournament final between Farato and Batokunku at the Sanyang
Football Field on Sunday.
The
match was called off by the centre referee after a serious clash between the
two sets of fans, with 18 minutes to go with no goal.
GFF’s
president Lamin Kabba Bajo, National Assembly Member for Brikama North, Alagie
S. Darboe and other important dignitaries were present at the final.
The
Kombo South District Sports Committee were disappointed with the interruption
of the match due to fracas in the second half.
It
would be recalled that fighting broke out in the 2015 Kombo South district
football tournament final between Kartong and Tanji at Sanyang in the presence
of GFF president Lamin Kabba Bajo.
