part of their effort to create jobs for young people and promote their talents
in dancing, Flex Fuzion entertainment is preparing to launch a dancing petition
on 2nd February, at Ebunjan Theater.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday at the National Center for Arts and Culture, chief executive officer Ndey Fatou Jabang said the dance championship targets to manage the talent of dancers because we feel dancing is a hitting sector in The Gambia.
“I brought up this project because if you call for a national championship, people would come out. At the end of the day, we are trying to promote culture, tourism, performing art and entrepreneurship.”
She said there will be 25, 000 dalasi prize attached for the champion but said the aim and objective of the event is to bring young people under one platform for an entrepreneurship workshop. “We will have six weeks training for the youth on different types of dance.”
Matty Jobe of National Center for Arts and Culture (NCAC) said they are partnering with Flex Fuzion to host the national dancing championship. “The National Center for Arts and Culture pleased to partner with Flex Fuzion because one of our main areas of promoting the Gambian culture is through performing art, and this include dance, music, films, fashions and writing.”
