FIFA to inject more fund for Gambia football development

President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino said on Tuesday that the world football governing body will continue to render more support to Gambia in the development of its football.

Shortly after meeting the country’s football stakeholders at the FIFA Goal project in Old Yundum, the Swiss-Italian football administrator said he has witnessed something special in The Gambia, saying that in football, it is no secret that without work objectives cannot be achieved.

Infantino hailed the football stakeholders for contributing to the Goal project, saying FIFA is proud of GFF’s brilliant work.

He also applauded the gathering for improving infrastructural complex which was refurbished to increase football development.

He added that there is still room to improve the senior national, senior youth and women teams. He said FIFA will focus on infrastructure, educate  coaching and women football development, adding that a lot has been done and lot need to be done.
