The
country’s leading financial institution FiBank Gambia Limited yesterday
presented sets of jerseys to the 2016 Super Nawettan finalists Banjul and
Gunjur.
Speaking
at the presentation ceremony held at the Bank’s head office on Kairaba Avenue,
Pa Momodou Faal, secretary general of the Super Nawettan Organising Committee,
hailed FIBank for bankrolling the Super Nawettan, adding that 2016 is the
second time FiBank had sponsored the tournament.
Faal
stated that two weeks ago FiBank presented jerseys and D100,000 to the Super
Nawettan Organising Committee for the preparatory fee for the 2016 Super
Nawettan zonal football tournament.
Faal
further stated that Super Nawettan Organising Committee are grateful to FiBank
for a successful Super Nawettan 2016.
Faal
advised finalists to exercise discipline during the final, adding that the
final between Banjul and Gunjur would be interesting as both sides will be
hoping to beat each other to clinch the trophy.

S. Jabbi, the chairman of the Super Nawettan, said Sukuta will play against
Serrekunda East in the third place play-off today at the Serrekunda West Mini
Stadium, noting that the winner for the third place will receive D30,000
sponsored Super Organising Committee.
Jabbi
applauded FiBank for sponsoring the Super Nawettan while appealing to them to
open branches in the Brufut, Gunjur and satellite villages along the coast.

Ousman Njie, General Manager of FiBank, thanked zones for opening accounts with
FiBank and expressed hope that the zones will maintain their accounts with the
bank.
Njie
expressed optimism that FiBank would continue to bankroll Super Nawettan and
appealed to the finalists to maintain discipline during the final.
Ebrima
Jammeh alias Fabou, president of Gunjur zonal team, hailed FiBank for
sponsoring the 2016 Super Nawettan, adding that Gunjur is a peaceful place.
Jammeh
expressed confidence that the trophy would be ready for Gunjur and assured the
sponsors that Gunjur fans will maintain discipline during the final.
For
his part, Ndong Camara of Banjul Sports Committee thanked FiBank for sponsoring
the Super Nawettan, adding that Banjul fans are discipline.
