Real De Banjul and Banjul United have bounced back in the 2017-2018 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league after edging-past Fortune FC and Tallinding United respectively in their eleventh fixtures played on Wednesday.

The Banjul duo were beaten in their three previous fixtures before beating Farato and Tallinding-based football clubs to recover in the country’s top flight after their recent slumps in the league campaign.

Real De Banjul defeated Fortune FC 2-1 at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama to increase their chances of lifting the league.

Banjul United beat Tallinding United 1-0 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau to improve their status in the league after losing their three previous fixtures.

Gamtel defeated Marimoo 1-0 in the other week-eleven fixture at the Independence Stadium in Bakau to move nine points clear of second-place Fortune FC, who lost to Real De Banjul 2-1.

Gamtel has bagged 24 points in ten league matches with a game in hand; Real De Banjul has 15 points.

Fortune FC still has 15 points in eleven league matches and Tallinding United has 13 points in ten league matches with a game in hand.

Banjul United has 11 points after eleven league matches.
