Gambia’s football fans and lovers said that, they are disappointed by the performances of the country’s FF and league champions in their recent 2018-2019 CAF Champions league exit after their defeats.

The fans are mourning Gamtel and Gambia Armed Forces elimination from the continent’s premier and second tier football club competitions.

The telecommunication giants and soldier boys were both eliminated from their respective club competitions after slipping at home to Ivorian and Algerian sides in their return-leg ties played in Banjul in the mid-week, after securing illustrious away draws in their first-legs played in Algiers and Abidjan last week.

The defending league champions Gamtel were eliminated from the 2018-2019 CAF Champions league after their 1-0 aggregate defeat to Algerian side ASC Constantine on Wednesday.

FF cup champions Gambia Armed Forces were equally kicked-out of the 2018-2019 CAF Confederations cup following their 2-1 aggregate defeat to Ivorian side FC San Pedro on Tuesday.

Both clubs will now turn their attention to the country’s domestic division league to replicate their last year’s successes to play the continent’s football club competitions next season.
