Gambian Interior Minister General Momodou Alieu Bah, known as MA Bah, has been
appointed interim deputy leader of the opposition Alliance for Patriotic
Reorientation and Construction (APRC) The Point has been informed.
Mr. Bah was appointed on Thursday following an executive decision by the former ruling party executive. He is Fabakary Tombong Jatta’s deputy, according to sources reaching this medium.
When contacted the APRC spokesman, Seedy Njie, who is also the press secretary of the party confirmed the story to our reporter. He said the decision was made last Thursday by the executive of the APRC.
MA Bah is a native of Kombo Lamin. He was the last interior minister during the former regime of Yahya Jammeh’s. He was fired shortly after president Barrow ascended to the presidency when he returns to The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF).
