Eupen signs Sulayman Marreh permanent

Belgian first Division side KAS Eupen, Tuesday signed Gambian international Sulayman Marreh on a permanent deal from English premier league side Watford.

The 23-year-old, who joined Eupen last summer on transfer deadline day is described as a strong midfielder by the club manager Claude Makelélé. Marreh played a total of 22 games for Eupen and is also described as the club’s midfield maestro since coming on loan from the English Premier League side.

“Sulayman was one of the season’s revelations and helped to keep our team in 1A,” sports director Christophe Henkel explained. “We are happy that he chose to continue his sporting career at Eupen.”

Marreh started his professional career in Spain with Granada in 2013 and was once compared to the Manchester United and France midfielder Paul Pogba.
