international midfielder Ebrima Colley have extended his contract with the
Italian top flight club, Atalanta until June 30, 2023.
The attacker who started with the Atalanta youth team, yesterday decided to extend his stay in the team during their Primavera Championship final against Inter Milan FC.
The 19-year-old, regarded as a classical example of the Atalanta model after growing up in the youth sector, started playing for the Atalanta U-19 during the 2017/18 season.
According to the club, Ebrima Colley is the classic example of the Atalanta model: having grown up in the youth sector, the player has shown that despite his young age, he has already learnt to be decisive. “It is no coincidence that he scored the winning goal against Inter last spring championship final.”
In these first weeks of work with the first team, Colley tried to take advantage of the opportunity given by the retirement with the adults to show his skills and in the end he succeeded with five goals scored in the various friendlies and many other interesting ideas.
The Gambian teenage sensational, who was instrumental last season for Atalanta in the primavera team after scoring eight goals and providing one assist in 23 games, helped his team to win the Italian U-19 league tournament.
His remarkable form last season earned him a call in the Scorpions squad on 22 March 2019 during Gambia’s Afcon qualifiers against Algeria as he came in as a substitute replacing Ebrima Sohna.
