Ebou Jarra unveiled as Real de Banjul Head Coach

Real de Banjul Football Club last Thursday unveiled Ebou Jarra as their Head Coach ahead of the new season.

Coach Jarra, who signed a four-year contract with the Banjul-based team will be leading the affairs of the team for the next four years starting this season. Jarra spent three seasons with the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) and won three trophies including League, Super and FF Cup titles.

The Tallinding-based coach was born and school in The Gambia before traveling to the UK to further his studies. He studied in Norway, bags a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

He was leaving in Birmingham City in UK, where he setup an Academy in year 2000.

Coach Ebou Jarra returned to The Gambia in 2015 and guided Tallinding United to the GFF First Division, he later moved to Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) were he won three trophies for the Soldiers.

Speaking during the unveiling, Real de Banjul Technical Director, Pa Suwareh Faye said this is another milestone in the history of Real de Banjul Football Club, adding that they started with Majorr Saine before parted ways with him and appointed Musa Njie as interim coach who guided the team to two trophies and as well finishing second place in the league.

 According to him, the qualification that makes them to appoint Ebou Jarra is because he had an FA Level Two, FA Youth Module One and Two and CAF B License.

For his part, Coach Ebou Jarra said he is pleased to join the Real de Banjul Football team, noting that he has been engulf with many fans and family members who are Real de Banjul fans.

According to him, he wanted to join Real long time ago but god decides that it is happening now, adding that Real de Banjul is one of the most successful club in the country’s First Division.

He added that one of the reasons joining Real de Banjul is because the club is ambitious, adding that Real is a club that change people lives, especially the lives of its players. While saying that he’s looking forward working and bringing more success to the team,

He finally thanked Tallinding United and Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) for been very supportive during his stay with them.

President of Real de Banjul, Willy Abraham said this is a very important milestone in the history of the club, adding that head coach is an important positions in the Real de Banjul team.

He finally thanked Musa Njie for successfully transiting the club by winning two trophies last season
