Dr. Olugander, a Gambian reggae artiste based in
Finland has recorded a new song called
“Empress” featuring Thokozani Dube alias
TK Dube the son of South African legendary
artist late Lucky Dube.
The Gambian reggae artiste is presently making waves in Europe as he releases his”express” song which was produced by Gander Production.
In a chat with Point Entertainment and Lifestyle recently, The Gambian reggae artiste said “Hakim did some background harmonies, while he did the singing and harmonies in the chorus too and the song is already release.
He said the main inspiration for this song is the love and caring of that woman out there, who had been through it all, ups and down the ragga road and still never quit showing her real love to the man she loves unconditionally. “In 2008, I released an album entitled “Stronger than before “ inside this album their is a track entitled “Lucky I cry” a song I did for his late father Lucky Dube who was killed by some gun men.”
He added: “The late Dube inspired me while I was going to school and my whole room was almost his photos together with other foundation artists I listened to.
So this song has also connected us together through one love as in music, adding that he have been in touch with TK now over 3 years. We’ve been planning to do a song together for so long but it never materializeduntil now.
