Driver testifies in criminal trespass case

Edrisa Sowe, a driver and a resident of Brikama James recently testified at the Brikama Magistrates' Court in the trial of one Alieu Myandu, who was charged with criminal trespass and stealing.

Testifying before Magistrate B. Secka, the witness, Erdisa Sowe told the court that he is a driver by profession and he recognised the accused, Alieu Myandu.

According to him, on 20th March 2010, he was on his way to the market when he passed through the shop of the complainant Modou Salieu Jallow, whom he found quarrelling with one girl.

He informed the court that, the complainant told him that the girl bought a tin of milk from him and later returned to him after she had already opened it and told him that the tin of milk had expired.

He testified that he looked at it and told the girl that it was not expired as the expiry date is 15th August 2010.

According to him, the girl had insisted that she wanted her money back.

The case was then adjourned to 3rd May 2010.
