currently topping the country’s top-flight league following their excellent
form in the first round.
The telecommunications giants will hope to repeat the same performance in the second round to fancy their hopes of winning their second league title. Gambia Ports Authority, Fortune FC and Real De Banjul have collected 15 points each with Real and Fortune playing more games.
The City boys, Ferry boys and Farato-based outfit will prepare to win their games in the second round to pile pressure on league leaders Gamtel to keep their league aspirations alive. Current league champions Gambia Armed Forces and Tallinding United both have 14 points each but Fortune FC has played more games than Gambia Armed Forces.
The Soldiers and Tallinding-based football club will both brawl to win their games in the second round to keep pressure on teams above them in the standings and to increase their league title hopes alive.
Brikama United has 12 point after nine league fixtures while Marimoo and Hawks have bagged 11 points each but Marimoo has played more games than Hawks due to the latter’s engagement in the CAF Confederations cup over the weekend. The Brikama-based football club will fight to secure more victories to keep their league title ambitions alive.
The Manjai-based football club and Red Devils will attempt to win their matches to increase their chances of staying in the top flight for another season. Steve Biko and Bombada are currently occupying second-place from bottom in the top-flight league.
The Bakau giant killers and Brikama-based football clubs will target to win their matches to move away from the relegation zone and to improve their chances of staying in the top flight for another season to avoid relegation to the second division. Meanwhile, Wallidan is leading the second division following their astonishing performance in the first round.
