The Gambia Football Federation division one league season is set to kick off tomorrow, Saturday 19 November 2016.

As part of week one fixtures, Hawks will host Bombada at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.

Hawks finished fifth in the top flight last season and Bombada finished two places above relegation, and both will be aiming to beat each other to land their first win in the new league season.

Marimoo will welcome Tallinding United at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda, after both sides gained promotion to the top flight last season, finishing in the first and second spots respectively in the second tier. They will be coming all out to win and increase their chances of staying in the top flight and avoid relegation to the second division.

Elsewhere, Serrekunda United will play against Gamtel at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on the same day.

Serrekunda United finished one place above the relegation zone and Gamtel finished fourth, and will want to snatch their first victory in the new season.

On Sunday 20 November 2016, Samger will clash with Gambia Armed Forces at the Serrekunda East Mini Staddium.

The soldiers and Academy boys both finished mid-table in the top flight last season, and will be playing to win and improve their chances of snatching the league title from Gambia Ports Authority, who are set to face Bakau giant killers Steve Biko at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on the same day.

Elsewhere, Brikama United will host Real De Banjul, in the other week one fixtures, at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Brikama United finished runners-up in the top flight last season, and will be expecting to recover after losing to Gambia Ports Authority 1-0 in the Super Cup final last week.

Real De Banjul, on the other hand, finished third in the top flight last season, and will be fighting to hammer Brikama United to keep their chances of snatching the league title from Gambia Ports Authority.
