One Lamin Bojang, who is facing a claim of D550,000, has opened his defence before principal magistrate Abeke at the Bundung magistrates’ court.

Bojang, in his defence, told the court that he lives at Sukuta and is a school caretaker. He has a plot of land at the Kombo Costal Roada area, and when he wanted to sell the land consulted agents to look for a buyer.

When they brought the plaintiff, Kebba Sey, they discussed and agreed on D550,000 which the plaintiff paid.

“I sold the land to him in the sum of D550,000 and the size of the land is 20m x 20m,” he said, adding that in 2013, the plaintiff went to his home and told him that 40 meters was taken by the government, which had affected him.

“I also told him that it had affected me equally.”

Testifying further, Bojang said the plaintiff asked for the front of his compound, but told him he reserved that part for his children.

The plaintiff then said if he did not give him the land, he would sue him, he told the court.

The case continues.
